PSC Civil Construction has developed, implemented, and maintains a comprehensive and proactive Environment, Safety and Health - Loss of Work Program.

The strategy we use is based on a strategic plan to respond effectively and efficiently to eliminate any potential safety hazard and preventing any and all accidents by ensuring that each shareholder shares an equal amount of responsibility for the safety in the workplace.  PSC Construction and its employees strive on achieving a ZERO ACCIDENT PERFORMANCE and safety oriented culture.

TRAINING
The training that is emphasized by PSC Construction are; WHIMIS Trenching and Excavation Fall Protection Transportation of Dangerous Goods Confined Space Awareness Traffic Control TSSA – Excavation near a Gas Line
Along with the above mentioned training, our employees also receive a comprehensive safety orientation annually, as well as new employees, and at the start of new project.

PROGRAM

The program includes an extensive Safety Orientation for all new employees and an annual review of the program for all workers.  Tailgate Safety meetings are conducted on a weekly basis and at the start of new projects.  Thorough inspections of each site are conducted in a strategic manner to emphasize the Safety Program and to ensure that an immediate action is taken regarding any safety incidents.  All incident’s are investigated to determine the cause so as to ensure a recurrence.  Any and all accidents including near misses are reported to the Safety Rep, who intern does a complete report and submits the report to Senior Management.

POLICY

It is the primary and continuing policy of PSC Construction, to protect the health and safety of its employees, equipment, and surrounding environment.  PSC Construction is committed to a strong Health and Safety – Loss Control Program that protects employees from accidental loss.  We have established a Return to Work policy which enables a worker who had an accident the option of performing light duty tasks.
